Dream Doors
Your Dream franchise

Dream Doors, a kitchen renovation brand founded on providing an impeccable service and top of the range products, is looking to recruit more self-motivated, quality-focused franchisees for Scotland, who want to be part of a niche market supported by an organisation dedicated to your success

A satisfying business John and Janice Fergason from Ayrshire launched their Dream Doors franchise from home having initially met with them at the Glasgow franchise exhibition.

"We could see Dream Doors being a viable opportunity and a business that could be developed. We did look at business opportunities in the service sector, but they weren't suitable for Ayrshire. Before launching the business, we had five days' training covering everything including sales, record keeping and the product. Since the launch, Dream Doors have always been available on the phone and the Franchise Manager will visit if needed. We've found that the Dream Doors quality product practically sells itself and we've sold around 35 kitchen re-fits since launching last September. Customers vary from big private homeowners to pensioners and all are impressed by the quality of the doors. It's really satisfying to see the finished job and happy customers, which gives you a real incentive to do the next."

Living up to expectations Ex sales executives Duncan Hayworth and David Corcoran, who operate the Glasgow Dream Doors franchise, accredit their success to the "second to none products" and excellent customer care.

"We have no complaints about the training, which covered everything we needed to know, or the ongoing support. Customers react very positively to us when we visit them in their homes because it's not a high-pressure sale. Right from the beginning, we said we would treat our customers how we would expect to be treated. We're also much cheaper than the competition and our products are second to none. We were in profit within two months of launching the business and are already ahead of our projected £60,000 for the first year. Last month, we bought a bigger van and we're thinking along the lines of a showroom and another fitter to accommodate the extra workload. Dream Doors has lived up to our expectations and we'd certainly recommend it to others - and already have."

Quality brand seeks quality franchisees

About Us

"Quality" is the Dream Doors buzzword - quality products, quality franchise opportunity and quality franchisees - which is why this kitchen renovation brand has launched 43 outlets, three in Scotland, and gained British Franchise Association Associate Member status within just four years.

Manufacturing and fitting made-to-measure kitchen doors, units and worktops is a unique concept in the kitchen renovation market, which is mainly dominated by high street stores selling entire kitchens with little choice of colour or design. Dream Doors franchisees nationwide are transforming old, tatty kitchens, at a fraction of the time and cost of fitting a brand new kitchen, with a wide selection of colours and designs.

Strong demand for this service is evident at the company-owned Gosport outlet where the company was first established on Valentine's Day 2000 by business visionaries Derek Lilly and Troy Tappenden. "Dream Doors began as a local business venture," recalls Franchise Director Derek Lilly, "but we quickly came to realise that this was a growth market. We already had a proven and successful business formula so franchising was the next logical step to expansion. Demand for the Dream Doors service has been strong and we've in fact tripled the turnover at the Gosport outlet."

Troy and Derek have developed a franchise system focused on equipping franchisees with the skills and confidence to provide customer choice, quality products and excellent customer service. Derek explains: "Company income is derived entirely from the franchisee's sales so there are no monthly management fees, just an initial investment of £10,000 + VAT, which pays for the set-up and launch of the new franchise."

This includes four days' training, regular visits from a Franchise Manager, 30,000 leaflets, a CD of pre-designed marketing materials, 400 colour brochures, 160 sample doors, computer software, stationery, corporate clothing and valuable monthly newsletters.

About You

"We're looking for self-motivated, go-getters," Derek outlines. Current franchisees include a Justice of the Peace, kitchen fitters, ex-sales directors, previous business owners, computer experts and even a serving RAF officer. "You don't need experience in the kitchen industry to be a franchisee, but you do need to be in it for the long term with the ambition to drive the brand forward." Such as Duncan Hayworth and David Corcoran from Glasgow who gave up corporate positions to look for a business they could develop themselves, or John and Janice Fergason who left jobs in North Sea drilling and insurance respectively, to join Dream Doors as franchisees.

"With Dream Doors you can run a business that suits your ambitions with the rewards you want where you are in complete control but with the backing and support of an organisation dedicated to your success," Derek concludes. "Whatever you are looking for in a franchise Dream Doors has the product, the commitment and vision to help you succeed."

A number of territories are still available in Scotland so call Derek and Troy today to find out more.
